Next Door Solutions' Statement on the June 24, 2022 SCOTUS Decision

Next Door Solutions is in fear of what the SCOTUS decision will mean to survivors of gender-based violence and their families, and all Americans. The decision is devastating, and we are in shock and disbelief that in 2022 the right to safe and equitable reproductive health care, including abortion, is no longer a constitutional right in the United States. Restricting or eliminating access to reproductive services disproportionately impacts people of color, rural and LGBTQIA+ communities, and others who face obstacles to accessing affordable and safe health care, including survivors of gender-based violence. Next Door Solutions stands in solidarity with survivors, reproductive healthcare providers, and advocates in the reproductive justice movement. Every survivor and person deserves the right to bodily autonomy. Safe and equitable reproductive healthcare is essential to family and community health, safety, and wellbeing. If you are a survivor of domestic violence and need assistance, including assistance with reproductive healthcare needs, advocates are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year at (408) 279-2962.
