Violence Prevention, Education, and Systems Change

What the Process Looks Like
Contact Next Door Solutions with the audience, goals, timing, and type of support you are seeking. We will identify the best fit based on staff capacity and current priorities. Requests may include resource presentations, warning-sign education, healthy-relationship prevention, staff training, outreach partnerships, or systems collaboration.
Our Approach
Our prevention and systems-change work is survivor-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in the realities survivors face. We connect education with practical resources and work with partners to reduce barriers, improve coordination, and change conditions that allow violence to continue.
Health & Healthcare Partnerships
Intimate partner violence affects physical and mental health. NDS works with community clinics, healthcare providers, and Stanford Medicine to strengthen how healthcare systems recognize and respond to intimate partner violence. Through training and technical assistance, we help providers discuss IPV with patients, share information about available support, and connect survivors with services. Our partnerships also include community health education and research informed by survivors’ and community members’ experiences, with a focus on improving access to care and support.
Violence Prevention, Education, and Systems Change
The work ranges from helping one organization make resources visible to collaborating across systems on long-term change.
Community Education and Training
Practical information about intimate partner violence, warning signs, resources, and how to respond.
Presentations and training can be adapted for workplaces, schools, faith communities, civic groups, service providers, and other audiences based on current capacity.
Prevention and Outreach
Helping people recognize healthy and harmful relationship patterns and know where support is available.
Outreach may include community events, resource distribution, youth or adult education, and partnerships that reach communities facing barriers to services.
Systems Change and Collaboration
Working with partners to improve policies, practices, coordination, and survivor access.
NDS collaborates with civic, faith, public health, government, and neighborhood partners to improve access to services, advocate for policies that support survivors and their families, and address inequities that affect survivor safety.
