Help Make Winter Open House Possible

Each December,  the NDS team brings together hundreds of survivors and children for a day of celebration, connection, and practical support.

Survivor families can choose new books and stuffed animals, receive gift cards to help meet their families' needs, and enjoy food and activities together.

Community drives, volunteers, donors, and sponsors make the day possible.

‍

Our 2026 Goals

$25,000 in Donated Gift Cards

Gift cards give survivors the flexibility to purchase what their family needs most — from groceries and clothing to household and children's items.

1,500 New Books

We're collecting new books for children and teens in grades K–12. Books in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Tagalog are always appreciated.

1,000 New Stuffed Animals

We're collecting new stuffed animals and plush toys for children attending Winter Open House.
