Esther has over 25 years of non-profit and public sector experience in workforce and economic development, human services and policy advocacy. In her previous role as the Director of the County of Santa Clara Office of Women’s Policy, she provided leadership to effectively increase awareness, focus and funding to address domestic violence and other important issues including equal pay, worker rights, gender equity and addressing the needs of justice involved women and girls. A well-known community leader, Esther has earned numerous distinctions for the work and leadership on behalf of women, children and families.
Susan McInnis
Susan McInnisDirector of Finance and Operations
Susan studied Business Administration at UC Berkeley, has experience in the non-profit field and previous experience in finance and software development since the early 2000s. She has volunteered for several girl’s agencies, including Friends for Youth and Girls for a Change. She has served on several non-profit boards as well, including the Alliance for Girls and Girls Middle School. She also started the after school program called Up On Top. She has been with Next Door Solutions since 2013.
Beth Williams
Beth WilliamsDevelopment Director
Beth has worked in the non-profit sector since 1994 as a fundraiser for a variety of agencies including hospice, foster care and the county hospital. Beth earned her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) in 2010. She has been the Director of Development at Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence since 2015. Beth is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals where she has served seven years on the board.
Patricia Nanez
Patricia NanezDirector of Programs
Patricia started her non-profit career at Consumer Credit Counseling Service, an agency dedicated to assisting consumers achieve financial independence through financial counseling and education. In 2002, Patricia started working at Next Door Solutions as an overnight Case Manager, in 2006 she was promoted to the Shelter Coordinator and later, in 2007, Patricia was promoted to the role of Manager of Residential Programs. Patricia was the Manager of Residential Programs for 11 years, before being promoted once again to the position of Director of Programs.
